It is considerable to make children become acquainted with computers and other high technologies.

Why is it notable to pay more attention to science and technology at school? The answer is logical. Nowadays, physics, chemistry, programming and healthcare are the most important fields of our life. People conquer nature, explore space and ocean’s depth, kill diseases and create robots. No wonder, the field of science requires new scientists, engineers and physicists. Modern employers suffer from the lack of the professional programmers and engineers. Thus, we should make children interested in sciences. We should demonstrate the potential of sciences and technologies if we want to receive new generations of Einsteins and Hawkings.

The simplest way to introduce technologies into educational process is to provide every class with computers and other appliances that help students learn new material. However, many experts say that it is useless to apply computers and digital boards whereas they are not helpful. On the contrary, they steal student’s attention from the main content. For instance, if a teacher tell children about earthquakes and shows it on the screen, they will treat this information as entertainment. As for me, I believe that it is better to conduct complex lessons that involve computers, smart digital boards, etc. There is hardly a child in the world who likes studying. Thereof, our paramount task is to make students interested in education. The best way is to make the educational process more varied and dynamic.

The absolute number of students will not listen to the boring stories about various battles or historical events. It is far more engrossing to look at these events with your own eyes. Due to the solid donations into the field of education and mass media, we have access towards thousands of documentaries and feature films that touch upon the most notable historical events and personalities. If a child is bored when he listens to the story about the particular battle, it is better to show this battle to him. The student will learn many new details and will surely remember more information about the cause and effect of the problem under analysis. Visualization is very valuable in education. Bear in mind that many students obtain new facts when they see them. Others are good listeners. Thus, it is smart to combine both methods and teach all students effectively.

It is very easy to attract attention to physics and chemistry. I suppose, teachers should devote more time to the laboratory classes that demonstrate the actual physical and chemical processes on practice. When students see colorful and effective experiments at class, they will decide to connect their life with sciences. What is more, science helps students think differently. A child learns that every theory should be checked on practice. There are no valid answers in the world. Thus, students realize that they should be in the constant search for the actual truth. This quality is very valuable, because our schools will ‘produce’ thinkers who will oppose the unthinking majority. Next, children learn to observe the world around. They will pay attention to every physical and biological process. They will be curious about the origin of snow, rain, shower, electricity, magnetism, etc. They will appreciate animals and plants because they will strive to learn something new about nature and its phenomena.

It is not a secret that technologies make educational process easier. Imagine that there are schools that do not possess enough textbooks. The solution of this problem is simple. Instead of the constant production of paper textbooks, it is better to possess the simplest tablet containing all books in its memory. E-books are very useful and economical. This invention helps us save forests and consume less paper. Then, it is reasonable to use computers to visualize the process of education. Finally, technologies help students listen to foreign languages and watch films in the original. It is better to listen to the recorded speech of the native speakers than your teacher’s speech.

The role of science and technology in education sector cannot be overestimated. We should introduce technologies into the educational process in order to make science close and understandable to children.
